Port of Santana has the biggest draft of the brazilian north coast. In 2020 a Panamax ship has docked in the Port of Santana for the first time.
The ports of the state are close to the biggest markets: seven days from United States of America and Europe e thirty two from China. The closeness with the Panama Canal, make the crossing of the atlantic ocean faster, resulting in an important saving factor in suplly chain.
From Amapá and throught the waterways, ships can navigate all over amazonian basin and dock in the main ports of the region. Amapá is an important route of grain exportation.
The bridge over Oiapoque river connect Amapá and the European Union though the French Guiana, which make possible the acess of a market with over one and a half million people.
The modern International Airport of Macapá – Alberto Alcolumbre, has an important integrating role in the region, handling an average/ month of 47.904 passenger and 218.410 kg of cargo.
