Created through Law Nº 7827/1989 and regulated in its article 159 by the Federal Constitution/88.
Administered by Banco da Amazônia - BASA, its objective is to foster the economic and social development of the North Region through the execution of financing programs to the productive sectors, constituting the main financial instrument of the National Regional Development Policy (PNDR) to reduce regional disparities.

AMAZON DEVELOPMENT FUND (FUNDO DE DESENVOLVIMENTO DA AMAZÔNIA – FDA)
Created through Provisory Measure Nº 2.157-5/2001, Complementary Law Nº 124/2007 and regulated by Decree 10.053/2019.
Managed by the Superintendency of Development of the Amazon - SUDAM, its objective is to attract investments to the Legal Amazon, financing the execution of projects in the infrastructure, public service, and enterprise sectors that enable the generation of business and new productive activities.
